
Men's Ministry
Proverbs 27:17 “So as iron sharpens iron, so as a man should sharpen another"
God is moving in the hearts of men. He is calling men to stand up for what they believe in, to be faithful in their personal walk with Christ, to their families and to their church.
The purpose of Men's Ministry is:
- To reach, equip and empower men for Christ.
- To equip God's men with God's Word in an environment of instruction, evangelism, leadership, fellowship and accountability, to use thier spiritual gifts.
- To provide opportunities that mobilize men in ministries according to thier areas of interest and ability.,
- To encourage accountability in the lives of men to be effective in carrying out thier responsbilities at home, at work, and in thier ministries.
- To strive, with God's help to be known as men with a passion to minister to those who need Jesus Christ, that we will be recogized as men burdened for the community for our neighbors.
Three Unalterable Facts About Men:
- God knows you and has created you for a special purpose (Ephesians 1;11)
- God has given you special gifts toward the satisfaction of His purpose (Romans 12:4-6)
- God wants you to discover His purpose for your life (Ephesians 1:18)
Scriptural Thought:
"I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting." (I Timothy 2:8)
Five Disciplines for Men
Who want to know God and are willing to put themselves in he way of falling more deeply in love with Jesus:
- A consistent quiet time
- An organized Bible study
- An accountability group
- Active church involvement
- A personal ministry
Personal Responsibilities for Every Man:
- His walk with God (to encourage men to press in to know God more intimately and relationally)
- His relationship with his wife (to be better husbands)
- His relationship with his children (to be better fathers)
- His personal finances & health (to focus more on sowing our lives into things that matter in the kingdom of God)
